Fuse book club: Revolt on the Right: Explaining Support for the Radical Right 14th August
Housmans has a monthly book club which usually meets on the second Thursday of the month, starting at 7 pm in the shop.
This is a friendly, relaxed group, and all book-lovers are welcome! The group reads a lot of non-fiction titles, and some fiction, too. Members are always welcome to suggest the next title, and there’s no obligation to come along every month if you don’t fancy it.
Fuse members get a 20% discount if you choose to buy the upcoming book from the shop.
If you would like to join the reading group, you are welcome to just show up on the evening, but to be added to the mailing list and kept up to date with details of forthcoming meetings, email catherine[at]housmans.com.
The next title under discussion is on Thursday 14th August:
Revolt on the Right: Explaining Support for the Radical Right in Britain by Robert Ford and Matthew Goodwin
‘A compelling look at how UKIP has become a threat to both Labour and the Tory party, fuelling the rise of the radical right in Britain’
Future Fuse Book Club meetings are;
Thursday 11th September – The Village Against the World by Dan Hancox
The story of the small Spanish village of Marinaleda, which for the last thirty-five years has been the centre of a tireless struggle to create a living utopia.
Thursday 9th October – How To Build A Girl by Caitlin Moran
Semi-autobiographical novel from the author of How To Be A Woman.
