NHS England are pushing for OOH and 111 services to be combined across regions in huge multimillion pound contracts that it will favour multinationals and make it hard for local GPs to win the contracts.
Campaigns in Camden, Islington, Haringey, Barnet and Enfield have been meeting to coordinate a campaign to highlight the privatisation threat. There has been no consultation which we will be demanding using a legal challenge if necessary.
Successful legal challenge over failure to consult
The successful legal challenge from a patient in Tower Hamlets has implications for all changes in primary care. The High Court found that NHS England acted unlawfully by failing to properly involve and inform patients about primary care commissioning decisions.
